Judas Iskariot im Neuen Testament und im Judasevangelium |
| Type de document : |
texte imprimé |
| Auteurs : |
Wilhelm Pratscher, Auteur |
| Année de publication : |
2010 |
| Article en page(s) : |
pp. 1-23. |
| Langues : |
Anglais (eng) |
| Résumé : |
The Gospel of Judas is an interesting document, which completes our knowledge of (especially) the Sethianic gnosis. This is, on the one side, a contribution to the history of Christianity in the 2nd century, which shows a growing of the picture of Judas from Irenaeus, Haer. 1.31.1 to the Codex Tchacos. But on the other side, we can also better understand the historic Judas and (somehow) the presuppositions of the death of Jesus. All in all, the Gospel of Judas enables us (despite all ambivalence) to get a new and more differentiated impression of Judas in comparison to the canonical tradition |

Led Astray by Punctuation The Meaning of πιορκ in Matt 5:33 |
| Type de document : |

LEE John A. L., Auteur |
| Année de publication : |
2010 |
| Article en page(s) : |
pp. 24-36. |
| Langues : |
Anglais (eng) |
| Résumé : |
The meaning of πιορκ in Matt 5:33 remains uncertain in the NT lexicon of Bauer in English and in major commentaries. This paper traces the problem in Bauer to misreading of punctuation. A re-examination of the evidence establishes that the appropriate meaning is break one's sworn promise, and this is seen to be the meaning Bauer intended. |

James 1:2-15 and Hellenistic Psychagogy |
| Type de document : |
texte imprimé |
| Auteurs : |
John S. Kloppenborg (1951-....), Auteur |
| Année de publication : |
2010 |
| Article en page(s) : |
pp. 37-71. |
| Langues : |
Anglais (eng) |
| Résumé : |
In elaborating the Jesus tradition (Q 11:9-10; 6:22-23) James expands, compresses and elaborates Q sayings in a way which reveals an array of interests in psychagogy and the care of the soul which we know also to have characterized various strains of Hellenistic philosophy of the early Roman period. The author of James displays a remarkable interest, not in such concrete ends as subsistence, debt relief, and the rewards for withstanding persecution, but rather in the psychic processes that occur between stimulus and decision and in the role that proper cognition plays in constructing the subject as perfect. |

Das Testimonium Flavianum Ein authentischer Text des Josephus |

2010 |
| Article en page(s) : |
pp. 72-82. |
| Langues : |
Anglais (eng) |
| Résumé : |
The Testimonium Flavianum is an authentic text by Josephus. Its authenticity was long denied because the language and ideas of the time of origin were misunderstood, because the author's intention was misjudged and because of failure to recognise the circumstances of the manuscript tradition. |

Some Remarks on Thomas A. Wayment, “A New Transcription of P. Oxy. 2383 (P69)” |
| Type de document : |
texte imprimé |
| Auteurs : |
Claire Clivaz, Auteur |
| Année de publication : |
2010 |
| Article en page(s) : |
pp. 83-87. |
| Langues : |
Anglais (eng) |
| Résumé : |
Thomas Wayment's article improves one important point in the transcription of P69: the reading of Lk 22:45 (recto, l. 4-5). His overall assessment obscures yet the particularities of this small enigmatic papyrus. Wayment misses the fact that P69 attests to a third version of the evidence for the Lukan prayer on the Mount of Olives: he does not consider the absence of Luke 22:42 in P69. This particularity has to be considered in the discussion of the evidence of Lk 22:43-44. |
